A New Business Development program requires that you focus on the business needs.

This sounds simple but has a whole slew of questions that need answering. Each question requires significant thought and effort. Usually I find that clients answer the questions in a waves. The first wave of answers are interesting, but superficial, the second wave maybe starts thinking about the problem. The third wave of answers gets interesting and and the focus starts.

Understanding Who Your Customer Is.
Start with demographics and ends cycographics

Understanding the Numbers
What are the targets, how many, when are they going to show up, where are they going to come from.
When you start doing the math – it gets harder and harder. This is not the first challenge but is is the most important question – it drives everything else.

Understanding What The Correct Resources Are
Without even knowing you, I know you don’t have them. Otherwise you would already be doing 25% annual increase in revenues.

Executing The Plan
The more you think about it, the harder it seems.

But – the more you work it, the easier it gets.
