Success is simple. The Mishna (paraphrased) says “Who Is Happy – one who is happy with ones self.”
Success is the same thing. If you are doing what you want – then you are successful.
So how can YOU be successful….
- Decide what you want
- Set a goal that moves you one step on the way
- Set a date to achieve that goal.
- Decide that “You WILL be successful”
As the Talmud says – the rest is commentary – go learn. An example:
- I WANT to finish the Talmud (7,500) pages
- The goal is to finish a page a day
- We all started about 1,000 days ago. I am about 140 pages behind.
Now – lets measure my success.
My score is above 80%. Therefore, I am about 80% successful in this area of my life. Better than I did in most subjects in school. I could do better, but then I would have to make different CHOICES in my life and other goals would suffer.
I love my life.
This four step approach works for everything. Try it tonight for making dinner. It works.
Try it on something more difficult. See it work. By happy.
Get back to me, and tell me how well its worked for you.
Have a wonderful day.
