RR 10KM Clinic

Hi There,

Welcome to Zale’s 10KM Running Room Clinic page.

This page will be updated and contain all the information anybody who is running in my clinic should need to know.

If you are interested in Running and live in Canada - I cannot emphasis how great the Running Room clinics are for people interested in running. You can find out all about The Running Room here. Click on clinics to find out all about the clinics. Please feel free to read the rest of the page as you see fit.

I will continually update this page with content and material that is needed by the clinic.

The newest stuff will always be at the top and will also be in the e-mails sent to the group.

I have created three different training schedules using the Training Schedule

The Gradual Build Schedule - slowly builds the distance for the group. You can download the schedule in PDF form here. This schedule increases the distance slowly so that each person can complete the 10K run. The logical next step for the current clinic members. This is the schedule that we will follow. You can download The Gradual Build Schedule Here.

The To Complete Schedule - Builds farther distance and is designed to create long distance runner. You can download The To Complete Schedule Here.

The 55 Minute Schedule - intended to build a runner who will complete the 10KM in 55 minutes. This is intended for the runner who is focused on a specific time. Its worth seeing the difference between the different groups. You can download the 55 Minute 10KM Schedule here.

These schedules were created on The running room website. You can create your own schedule here.

The majority of the members of the clinic have started with me in the learn to run. The other members of the clinic who have recently joined have a similar running experience.

Therefore the clinic will be using the Gradual Build Schedule. We will be keeping around a 7:00 – 7:30 pace. Which is slower than the first night. This will mean we should be able to complete a 10KM is 77 minutes.

All runs will use the 10 and 1 formula.

I have created a forum so that people can connect up and contact each other.

You can access the forum here.

You will have to register in the forum to gain access. Its free, its easy and its fun!

There is a flag that you can set on your profile to be informed when somebody responds to your posting. This is a great feature, so for example if you post "are you coming tonight?" you will get an e-mail when people respond. This is an UNOFFICIAL RUNNING ROOM forum. I will continue to send out Instructor information from the Group E-mail.

All successful men and women are big dreamers.
They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
