One of my clients is looking for a Software developer. Its a solid client with a growing business.
Looking for a junior to mid level, web application and client side software developer to maintain and develop all organization applications with minimal supervision.
You will be a solid, all around developer – involved in analysis, specs, and design; developing, maintaining and supporting new and existing applications; assisting in test, configuration management and deployment.
You will work independently and in teams with internal and external customers, other developers, business analysts, and other organizational contacts to define production problems, create technical proposals, analyze existing systems, design technical solutions, and perform code changes / enhancements, system upgrades, and migrations.
Also responsible for researching and resolving code bugs, performing unit tests, leading code reviews and authoring application documentation.
- You would contribute to systems design efforts to ensure major design issues are addressed, such as: security, performance, maintainability, manageability, scalability, and data integrity.
- Assist direct supervisor with the development and maintenance of the production support vision
- Perform application code development, maintenance, and debugging with minimal supervision
- Perform unit test on assigned work
- Prepare project proposals and plans
- Prepare application technical documentation
Anticipated Start Date: April 2011 or sooner
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with Project Managers to determine clients’ needs and applying / customizing existing technology to meet those needs
- Maintaining and supporting multiple projects and deadlines
- Recording work progress on a weekly basis
- Reviewing budgets to ensure projects remains within scope
- Documentation, Documentation, Documentation
Programming Languages:
- ASP.Net/ASP,
- C#,
- VB.Net/VB,
- JavaScript/DHTML,
- VBScript, HTML, XML,
- T-SQL,
- AJAX
SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years ASP.NET / SQL experience
- Ability to develop large scale applications with multiple tiers
- Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly with client contacts
- Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces
- Ability to construct user guides and documentation
- Ability to complete all phases of project cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support
Experience:
- 4 to 8 years of actual experience in the workplace
- 2-3 years in backend SW design in SQL Server, ASP.net, and VB.net, Stored Procedures
- Some experience with front end UI design VERY HANDY
- Ecommerce integration skills
ENVIRONMENT:
- Located in Vaughan, Ontario (Langstaff and Jane)
