Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have dinner or a golf game with a hiring authority?
I am sure you know that many charities have dinner’s or golf games.
The dinner’s are good, the people are special and generally well connected.
The golf games are the same.
Why not use them to get to spend time with the hiring authority you want to get to know.
It’s not only good business it’s good for business.
And it could be great business for you.
Here are three ways to select the charity:
- Pick a charity you are involved in and well known at.
- Select a charity that the company you targeting supports.
- Select a charity the contact you want to spend time with supports. This is harder, but is possible if you have a solid relationship with the person.
Call the receptionist and tell them you want to invite Bob Smith for the charity dinner or golf game and ask if he will be available that day.
If yes, make a donation and get two seats reserved at the event.
Call Bob’s office and invite him to the dinner or golf game.
Action Steps:
- Expect to donate as much money to the charity as it cost you for the meal or the golf game.
- A breakfast might be cheaper and easier to schedule.
- This will be at least $50. or more.
- Make sure the dinner or game cost is appropriate to someone at your salary
- If Bob has to back out at the last moment, have a few other people ready to invite to the dinner or game.

This article is just a small sample of how you can do to take control of your Job hunt and make it effective. I work closely with the two experts in the field, Kevin Donlin and David Perry, co-creators of the Guerrilla Job Search System.
Job hunters who use “Click and Apply” wonder why they are not getting interviews and ultimately taking far too long to get a job. I hope you are not using “Click and Apply” as your major tactic. You have many more strategies and tactics to make an effective job hunt.
The only Job Hunting system I recommend is the Guerrilla Job Search System.
The system works, because it helps you do what you do best. Kevin and David have been interviewed by Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune magazine, and the Christian Science Monitor about their method to finding a job.
Go right now and listen to a sample of how Kevin and David will get your job search into high gear
If you want to know why I think the Guerrilla Job Search System is so effective for job hunters read my review of it here.
