How Much Should You Pay For A Resume Review?

in 66 Day Job Club,77 Guerrilla Job Hunting Tips,Job Hunting

There is no absolute price.

The price is relevant to you and your job hunt.

If a perfect resume is can get you a job one day faster than a good resume, then its worth one day’s pay.

If the resume can get you a job one week faster, then the resume is worth one week’s pay.

The problem with most “resumes” is that most job hunters think “one size fits all”. In fact you should have a different resume for each job you are applying for.

Why?

Each job is different.

Each company is different.

Each company is hiring you to solve their specific problem.

Your resume and cover letter needs to address the specific problem that the company has.

Now, the good news is, you probably can only solve 12 problems really really well.

Therefore you only need 12 resume Templates that you can then adjust on a job opportunity by job opportunity basis.

You notice I said “job opportunity basis” and not “company basis”.

That’s because there may be several different job opportunities in a particular company, and each opportunity will be different.
