My friend Yitzi sent me a YouTube video that has the most amazingly perfect Guerrilla Job Hunting technique.
It is fantastic.
It is perfect.
It is brilliant.
What the fellow did was
- Found the names of the people he wanted to work for,
- Created a Google adwords account.
- Used the names of the people he wanted to work for as keywords.
- He wrote a different ad for each person – “John Smith, its fun googling yourself. Hiring me is fun too!” . For each person he changed the name. He then linked the ad to his personal website.
- He then got a job.
- It cost him $6.00
Why did it work?
Every senior executive Googles themselves.
Or they have a friend who has and will tell them to try it out. I do it everyday, don’t you?
Think about it, who would not look at the ad if they saw their name?
The landing page for the ad can be tailored to each individual. You can write a personal letter and add whatever stuff you wanted to it.
Make sure you get the interview, make the landing page a Guerrilla Job Hunting resume.
Watch the video and enjoy.
