Even God Can’t Change The Past or 10 Ways to change your future

in Making A Change,Making Choices,Success Through Balance

www.ZaleTabakman.ca has received a lot of hits lately because of the song by Charlotte Church. I would like to explore the song as an inspiration for considering change.

You. me, and everyone else is way to hung up on our past. We think about the successes we have had,. the failures we have had. We think about “If only I could change the past”. Some people continually relive their past glories. Or they only talk about the good old days and this miss that today could be a “Good old Day”.

The past is very important. But the past is done. You can’t change the past, you can’t improve it, you can’t relive it. And you can’t go back to it. The past is complete and finished.

The song says “Even God Can’t Change The Past”, so if the most all powerful being in the universe can’t do it, then you need to accept that you can’t either. This means you need accept that the past has created your present.

But just because the past has created your present doesn’t mean its created your future.

You can create a new future which will become a past you are happy with.

There is an old saw “Today is the first day of the rest of your life” which also means that “Tomorrow will be the first day of your past”. So, in way, you do have the ability to change the past. But, its the past that has yet to occur.

Would you like a past that you are proud of? A past that you will look back at and say “Wow – Did I Ever Do A Fantastic Job!”

What does all this mean? It means that you have control of your future. You can change it. You can construct it. You can make your future to be what ever you want.

You must start today on creating a past that you are happy with.

There are many different ways of creating a great future. Here are just idea’s to help you create a new future. Each of the ideas will connect you to an article that will give you at least one practical step in creating a new future.

You just choose one idea for today to work on. Pick one that says “This is good for me.”

  1. You need to understand today, that the new future is done just a little bit at a time.
  2. Start Thinking About The Choices You Are Making
  3. Start using your leisure time for adult learning
  4. Decide if you need to change what you are doing
  5. Choose to act in a manner of successful people
  6. Connect up with other people who are working on being successful
  7. Understand that being successful takes thought and effort
  8. Change your daily routine so it helps you become successful
  9. Work to improve yourself
  10. Stop giving excuses.

Here is are the Lyrics to the song, why the title is an excellent thought. the lyrics don’t really follow through.

Even God Can’t Change The Past

Even God can’t change the past

No matter how many tears I’ve cried

Yes, I thought this love would last

Who am I to question why

Who am I

Darling when I’m hurt

That’s when I’m satisfied

Tell me what it’s worth

To pursue the Holy life

I can see your face

Even when I close my eyes

I can give you love

Even when I’ve been denied

Who, who’s loving who

Who, who’s fooling who

Even God can’t change the past

No matter how many tears I’ve cried

Yes, I thought this love would last

Who am I to question why

Who am I

Darling what is love

If it never gets you high

Should we sit and wait

While the wasted years roll by

Is there time to say

If I lied, I apologize

Never go away

Please stay here by my side

Who, who’s fooling who

Who, who’s loving who

Even God can’t change the past

No matter how many tears I’ve cried

Yes, I thought this dream would last

Who am I to question why

Who am I

They try to break you

They try to steal your stars

If they ever take you

Just remember who you are

They try to hate you

Just like some love bizarre

It’s a sign of weakness

To be afraid of what you are

Who, who’s loving who

Who, who’s fooling who

Even God can’t change the past

No matter how many tears I’ve cried

Yes, I thought this pain would pass

Who am I to question why

Who am I to question why

Who am I to question why
