Engaging Zale As A Speaker

in Zale Tabakman

Getting a job in today’s tough business environment is all about thinking like an entrepreneur.

The thinking skills needed to start your own business, grow your business, or look for a job are all similiar.

Its about focusing on a result and getting to that result.

Entrepreneurial thinking and execution is an extremely  hard skill to learn, that is why less than 1% of the population are entrepreneurs. And less than 1% of those are massively successful – by massively, I mean they don’t worry about paying their bills.

Educated professionals and business owners are excellent at critical thinking when its applied to the delivery of their profession.

  • Accounts are great at reporting finances to owners and the government.
  • Teachers are excellent and helping students understand new concepts.
  • Engineers are great at building bridges.
  • Computer programmers are great at making and designing software.
  • Owners of flower shops are great at creating floral displays.
  • People who gyms can improve the health of their members.
  • Doctors are terrific and saving lives an finding out what is wrong with you.
  • Sales people can present and close business.
  • Marketing people can create interest generating programs online, in the newspaper, on TV, and on radio.
  • The list goes on and on.

But, professionals looking for a job don’t have the skills needed to find jobs. For the simple reason is that the skills needed are used infrequently across a wide variety of areas.

I have created pages and pages on www.ZaleTabakman.ca dedicated to describing the skills and how to execute these skills. And I am finding its still not enough for people.

What I have found is people need interaction and the ability to learn with me teaching.

I have developed several different courses to help.

I teach the courses in a group setting organized by a sponsor.

I have created a number of different speaking programs based on my skills.

One Hour Or So Talk

  • Many people have problem seeing beyond their current situation and need a jolt to get them started.
  • Sometimes its a simple as just showing them a path to success, this one hour talk is designed to get the attendees motivated and focused on their job hunt.
  • Depending on the group, we select the content is based on one of my top ten lists.
  • To fully engage the audience, I include a short 15 minute question and answer session
  • The sponsor receives an electronic copy of slides so that they can be reproduced for distribution to attendees.
  • Cost:$500, $350 for a not for profit.
  • Travel expenses are described below.

Two Hour Training Course

  • Many people are really smart at what they do, but they don’t have certain hard skills in place.
  • The two hour training session is designed to teach a specific skill.
  • I always teach in three modalities to reach everybody in the audience,  the Verbal learners, the Reading learners, and we do an assignment in class so the tactile learners get it.
  • Other people want to come away Each course is approximately two hours long – never t schedule tightly as I tend to go overtime.
  • Content can come from one of my top ten lists, or from my seminar The Magic Profit Formula.
  • Depending on the audience we will select the appropriate session.
  • I try to interact with every attendee and so the training is designed for a class size of 25 people – larger classes sizes can be accommodated, with lower class interactivity
  • Each class includes in-class work, where attendees work through some examples to get them started.
  • The sponsor receives an electronic copy of slides and the workbook so that they can be reproduced for distribution to attendees.
  • Price: $1,000,    $750 for not for profit.

Four Day Intensive Training

  • A variation on my Award winning course The Magic Profit Formula given Monday’s at the Markham YMCA Business Centre specifically targeted to the job hunter.
  • Covers all the different areas of the job hunt
  • The sponsor receives an electronic copy of slides and the workbook so that they can be reproduced for distribution to attendees.
  • Designed for a class size of 25 people with a high level of interaction, larger groups can be handled with significantly less interactively.
  • Runs Tuesday through Friday – 9:00 to 5:00 + evening assignments
  • Price: $10,000 ($400/pp), $7,500 ($300/pp) for not for profit

The Magic Profit Formula

  • Its based on my Award winning course given Monday’s at the Markham YMCA Business Centre given for the last three years

  • Appropriate for professional organizations such accountants or doctors who need to develop business skills
  • Appropriate for professionals who have bought a new franchise operation

  • I need to be in Toronto by 12:00 on a Friday, if this is not possible, then hotel expenses must include Friday and Saturday evening and there will be additional charges for delivered kosher meals for Friday and Saturday.
